Kia ora, this week for maths we have been doing logos.
And by logos i mean symmetry, rotation and reflection, first we watched a video and then picked some logos that have those 3 things in them (symmetry, rotation and reflection) such as car logos because thats what miss farr saidwould be the easiest.
here is my logo blog post

Capillary Effect

Kia ora, today while the year 7's were at tech us year 6's did science.
Last week on friday we made catapults for science and this week we did capillary effects.
First we got 6 cups and 3 different colours, the colours we started with were the primary colours (red, blue and yellow)
Then we filled 3 cups up with water then put the colours in.
We then folded some paper towels and put them in, we then watched the coloured water (molecules) climb up the paper towels and drip into the empty cups to create the secondary colours (Green, pruple and orange)

Etiapah Poem

(A) Here lies Ali-Inn,

(A) She was obsessed with aliens,

(B) She had no friends and then she found

(B) An alien UFO under ground.

(A) Here lies Jed,

(A) He loved the colour red,

(B) He bought a red Ferrari,

(B) Then got lost in the safari.

Today we did Epitaphs, which is the writing engraved on a grave stone.
You can do different types of Epitaphs like scary ones, funny ones and sensible ones.
An Epitaph is a poem, a poem that has 4 lines.

Miss Farr put up a video for the class to watch which told us how and what an Epitaph is, To make writing an Epitaph easy put A A B B on the lines.

That means the first 2 sentences (A A) should rhyme and then the next 2 sentences (B B) should rhyme.
Here are my examples.

Some people read their poems to the class while others carried on with writing theirs.

Sadly the whole of NZ went into lockdown for 3 weeks but luckily the south island went back into alert level 2 so we could go back to school, when we got to school miss far went over some level 2 rules and we all said what our favourite thing about lockdown was and one thing we missed about school.
